Birth Doula - What I Do:

  • As your birth doula, I am here to support, empower, and guide you through one of the most transformative experiences of your life. My role is to provide unwavering physical, emotional, and informational support throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth. Every birth journey is unique, and I am here to help you navigate yours with confidence, calm, and clarity.

    • Continuous Support: From the moment we begin working together, I offer compassionate, evidence-based guidance to help you feel prepared and informed. I am available to answer questions, talk through concerns, and provide reassurance at every stage of your journey.

    • Comfort & Coping Techniques: As your body prepares for birth, I can suggest a variety of comfort measures, including relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, movement and positioning strategies, and hands-on support to ease discomfort in late pregnancy and labor.

    • Partner Support & Involvement: If you have a partner, my role is not to replace them but to enhance their ability to support you. I offer practical suggestions to help them feel confident and involved, ensuring that they, too, have the tools to support you in the way you need most.

    • Advocacy for Your Birth Wishes: Your birth experience should reflect your values, preferences, and needs. I help you clarify your birth plan, advocate for your choices, and ensure your voice is heard so that you can make informed decisions every step of the way.

    • Bridging Communication with Your Care Provider: Sometimes, navigating medical conversations can feel overwhelming. I help enhance and clarify communication between you and your provider, ensuring you fully understand your options and feel empowered to ask questions and express your wishes.

    • Referrals & Resources: Pregnancy and birth involve so much more than labor alone. Whether you need recommendations for prenatal yoga, chiropractic care, pelvic floor therapy, childbirth education, or other holistic support, I can connect you with trusted professionals in your community.

Above all, my goal is to support you in feeling strong, informed, and deeply cared for as you bring your baby into the world—however that journey unfolds.

Postpartum Doula - What I Do:

Postpartum Support

The early days and weeks after birth are a time of deep transition—physically, emotionally, and mentally. As your postpartum doula, I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support to help you recover, bond with your baby, and adjust to this new chapter with confidence and ease. Whether you have a partner or are navigating this time on your own, I am here to ensure you feel supported, nurtured, and cared for.

  • Gentle, Ongoing Support: My role extends beyond birth—I am here to offer hands-on and emotional support as you heal, adjust, and find your rhythm in the postpartum period. Whether you need help processing your birth experience, extra hands around the house, or a listening ear, I am here for you.

  • Encouraging Mother-Baby Bonding: In these tender early days, I help facilitate and encourage bonding between you and your baby. From skin-to-skin contact and babywearing to responsive feeding and soothing techniques, I support you in building confidence in your connection with your little one.

  • Seamless Baby Integration into Your Home & Routine: Every family adjusts to a new baby differently. I help ease this transition by offering guidance on feeding, sleep rhythms, and infant care so that you can find a routine that works best for your family.

  • Practical Support & Organization: Small adjustments can make a big difference in your daily life. I help set up feeding and diapering stations, organize essentials within reach, and create a flow that makes your days smoother and less overwhelming.

  • Prioritizing Rest & Nourishment: Healing and recovery require rest and nourishment. I gently encourage you (and your partner, if applicable) to take breaks, nap when possible, and enjoy balanced, nourishing meals—because caring for yourself is just as important as caring for your baby.

  • Resources & Referrals: Postpartum recovery involves more than just physical healing. Whether you need lactation support, mental health resources, pelvic floor therapy, postpartum recovery classes, or community connections, I can help you find the right professionals to support your well-being.

This season of life is filled with joy, adjustment, and challenges—I am here to support you through it all with warmth, knowledge, and care.

FAQs

  • My limit for clients per month is 2, with their due dates being at least 2 weeks apart.

  • In the case that you hire me as your doula, I will find a backup who is available for your due date, and you can absolutely connect with them! I’ll introduce you via text and facetime if you’d like.

  • Once you call me and ask me to join you, I will arrive within 1-2 hours. If you are not yet in active labor, I may go rest or come back, unless there seems to be rapid progression. An induction may speed up labor, but also may stall it significantly, so it is really situational. Regardless of an induction or epidural, my plan is the same: to join you in active labor and remain with you until the baby is born. If you are scheduled to have a cesarean, I will support you before and after. (I do not prefer to join you in the OR, but if you are alone, I can make an exception).

  • When I agree to work with a client, I am considered “on-call” two weeks before, and two weeks after your due date. That means I do not schedule any travel further than 1 hour, and I have my bag packed. There is always the possibility of an unforeseen circumstance beyond my control, which would be communicated to you and a backup doula would fill my place.
